About

What’s the site for and what can you do with it? Find out here!

What is ministrypool?

ministrypool brings together the best of online resources and other stuff for Churches. You’ll find reviews and rating of resources, in a wide range of categories, that can help your Church or ministry get the best out of the web.

You don’t need to hunt around the web to find what you need, be it an online Bible, a site explaining the Christmas story or how you can put your sermons online – just visit the pool!

The sites are ones that we’ve ether used or ones we think are really worth knowing about!

And if you need a special domain name for promoting an event or outreach, the pool can help there too. Use one of the domains in the pool for as long as you need it and then it can go back in the pool.

How Can I use ministrypool?

You can browse by a resource category or search for a resource. If you’ve used a resource you can help other users by leaving a comment and rating the resource. (Please leave honest but ‘family friendly’ comments. Abuse/spam will not be tolerated and will be deleted!)

You can also subscribe to the resources feed, so you can always be up to date with the latest resources added to the pool.

If you know a good resource that isn’t listed in the pool, you can suggest a resource so it can be added to the pool.

For using the domains pool, there are full instructions here.

Who are you anyway?

ministrypool is run by James Cooper, a Christian web designer and a member of (and the tech guy at) Minehead Baptist Church. Rather than having a statement of faith on the site, we’ll link to the Basis of Faith on the Evangelical Alliance which we fully agree with.

James started ministrypool as a way of sharing the best of the Christian web and making it easy for Churches to find out what’s new.

The idea for the domain pool came from this post by Frank at Stategic Digital Outreach and the possibilities raised.
